Food Intolerance, Allergy Testing and Finally Finding Answers
2025
In 2025, after years of searching, I came across information about home food intolerance testing.
I wondered if the foods I had eaten all my life could somehow be contributing to the pain I was living with every day.
Wanting to investigate further, I bought a YorkTest Food Intolerance and Sensitivity Test.
After sending my blood sample to the laboratory, I waited anxiously for the results.
When they arrived, I was shocked.
The report showed that I had 23 food intolerances.
Many of the foods identified had been part of my diet since childhood. They had never appeared to make me feel unwell, so naturally I questioned the results.
To satisfy my own curiosity, I purchased a second test from Check My Body Health.
This time, I submitted both hair and blood samples.
Although the results weren’t identical, many of the same foods appeared again.
Instead of giving me certainty, they left me with even more questions.
Rather than relying on home tests alone, I decided to seek the advice of an allergy and immunology consultant.
Before my appointment, I shared the results from both tests, highlighting the foods that appeared consistently.
I wanted professional answers.
On the day of my allergy testing, I reacted positively to house dust mites, pollen, wheat, dairy, gluten and prawns / shellfish
For the first time in years…
Things finally began to make sense.
Following my consultant’s advice, I removed the foods that triggered my symptoms.
Gradually, something incredible happened.
The swelling in my joints began to disappear.
The constant pain eased.
I no longer relied on painkillers.
Over time, I was also able to stop taking my herbal preparations.
As long as I avoided the foods that triggered my symptoms, I felt like I had my life back.
Today, I continue to avoid those foods and live a much healthier, happier life.
I still have my port-site hernia, so I have to be careful with strenuous exercise. Doing this way, I can control the pain.
But compared with where I once was…
Life is very different.
Looking back, I have my own thoughts about why my body reacted the way it did after cancer treatment. Those are my personal reflections, and everyone’s experience is different.
What I know for certain is this.
Never ignore your body.
If something doesn’t feel right…
Keep asking questions.
Keep searching.
Sometimes the answers take years to find.
Mine certainly did. Thank you follows.
